To celebrate the opening of their US flagship, fashion brand Miista threw a housewarming show during NYFW featuring a choreographed fashion show, concept film, look book and after party.

Founded in London by Laura Villasenin has been become one of the most desired independent fashion brands and wanted to make their entrance into NYC anything but ordinary. To celebrate this big stride in the Miista adventure, monopo produced a short film directed by Lebonese fashion film director Pam Nasr and choreographed by Dione Davis. The concept explored how New Yorkers show up for a housewarming. Do you arrive alone? Empty handed? Fashionably late? As each of the 15 models, styled in AW24, were met by the Host they were confronted with a classic dilemma of - SHOES ON OR SHOES OFF?

We invited NYC based photographer Poupay to capture the 15 guests arriving at the HOUSEWARMING for the AW24 look book. As an expert in capturing slices of realness within chaotic moments from the MET Gala to the streets of New York, Poupay's style perfectly aligned with the unique Miista visual universe.

Miista is a brand that embraces the alternative and pushes creative boundaries to do the opposite thing. With such shared brand values, monopo jumped at the invitation to produce their first New York fashion show. Once all the 15 models had entered, with their shoes on or off, the doors of 69 Orchard Street opened to the wider fashion community for an Fashion Week after party. PR consultancy Gia Kuan made a curated list of fashion media and influencers to celebrate Miista boots making a bold step on new ground.
